About me:

I am Liu Shuo from Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province, China. Now I am having my bridging course at National Institute of Education (NIE). I appreciate that I will go to university, NTU soon and begin my university life which is very nice. Then I can seek for my dream.

I have many interests. I like watching movie to relax myself; I like playing billiards to get rid of the high press. My favorite place in Singapore is Setosa which is supernatural though I may get burned.However, it is quite interesting to play there and I can never forget the experience which is fantastic.

My favorite movies are Dead Poet Society and Legends of the Fall. They are not only useful for English learning but meaningful, practical, and relaxing to your life. If you have not watched them, I strongly recommend you watching and enjoying them!

What I have learned at NIE:

My bridging course at NIE has two parts: academic English learning and science. I have learned very much. Firstly my spoken English has improved a lot comparing with before and I have more confidence in myself.

My other skills on reading, listening also improve very much. Though the writing research, I know how to search a database. On DLS classes, I learn many computer vocabulary and skills I didn’t learn in China, which teaches me to manage my own laptop.

What a pity! I don’t have a Singaporean friend yet. But I’m sure I can make friends with Singaporeans and even people from other countries. Because I will have more chances while I don’t go to JC. However I have learned how to get along well with my classmate.
